TIGER’S SEASON OVER – THE YEAR STARTED OUT SO WELL FOR TIGER WOODS, WINNING THE MASTERS IN APRIL, THE 15TH MAJOR TOURNAMENT WIN OF HIS CAREER. BUT TIGER HAS GONE FLAT SINCE THEN, HE FAILED TO QUALIFY FOR THIS YEAR’S TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP OVER THE WEEKEND.

GOLFER PHIL MICKELSON HAD AN INTERESTING WEEKEND. HE ALMOST MISSED HIS TEE TIME FOR YESTERDAYS FINAL ROUND AFTER A LIGHTNING STRIKE CAUSED A FIRE AND AN EVACUATION OF HIS HOTEL. HE WAS LOCKED OUT OF HIS ROOM FOR 90 MINUTES. MICKELSON HAD TO FINISH GETTING DRESSED IN THE PARKING LOT BUT DID MAKE HIS TEE TIME.
