BASEBALL HALL OF FAMER TOM SEAVER HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH DEMENTIA. SEAVER IS 74 NOW, HIS FAMILY SAYS HE WILL RETIRE FROM PUBLIC LIFE. THE METS RETIRED HIS NUMBER IN 1988, HE WAS A FIRST BALLOT HALL OF FAMER IN ’92. HE WAS A BIG PART OF THE MIRACLE METS WORLD SERIES WIN IN 1969.
