THE STRUGGLES CONTINUE FOR THE ROYALS, THEY LOOK TO BREAK AN 8 GAME SLIDE AT HOME TONIGHT AGAINST SEATTLE. WHIT MERRIFIELD HAS BEEN THE BRIGHT SPOT, TYING GEORGE BRETT’S TEAM RECORD 30 GAME HIT STREAK, HE CAN BREAK THE RECORD TONIGHT.

HOCKEY’S SECOND SEASON GETS UNDERWAY WEDNESDAY NIGHT, THE BLUES OPEN THE PLAYOFFS IN WINNIPEG AGAINST THE JETS. THE BLUES WENT 30-10-1 AFTER NEW YEARS, WHILE THE JETS STRUGGLED GOING 22-18-3. THE JETS HAD A STRONGER FIRST HALF OF THE SEASON, HOWEVER, SO FINISHED JUST AHEAD OF THE BLUES IN THE STANDINGS.

TIGER, PHIL, RORY, ROSE, D.J. AND ALL THE TOP NAMES OF GOLF WILL BE ON HAND FOR ROUND ONE OF THE MASTERS TOURNAMENT STARTING THURSDAY AT AGUSTA NATIONAL. PATRICK REED IS THE DEFENDING CHAMPION. TIGER WOODS SAYS HE IS BACK IN FORM, AND FEELS LIKE HE CAN COMPETE FOR THE GREEN JACKET AGAIN.
